christians have to lie

If you ever have the oportunity to hear a discussion about the existence of god between a "witchdoctor " of whatever christian cult you choose and a non believer do it.
One time I heard about this and went to a college to listen.It started with the 2 of them having rules.
The atheist said to this minister of some sort "if you make a statement you have to have proof of some sort.The minister said "I have the bible"thats all I need..
Atheist said OK lets talk about the passages god wrote.
Minister said "god inspired all of them"
Atheist said again do you understand we agreed if we make a statement we have to offer reasonable proof not YOUR claim of inspiration.Do you know what lying is I would like to hear your version.
Minister said if you believe what you say- you are not lying.
Atheist said OK lets try this another way-take anything you want in your bible and prove it.
Minister said I can not prove anything in the bible but a true believer -believes with his heart.
Atheist said OK could you tell me how many times you have seen god and I mean physical form.
Minister said never,but you don,t see god that way you see him in your mind.
Atheist said-does'nt your bible say you were created in gods image? If that is true then he/she/it must have a form of some kind to be created in that image.
Minister said I do not have an answer for that.
Atheist said OK my next question is another very simple one I want to get this discussion going.Isn't it true that from the time you were a baby all that you know has been told to you that you have never seen god,that you have never seen anyone come back from heaven or hell. About that time the minister stood up and said I have had a enough.I do not have to prove anything and this discussion is over.
   Atheist said thats fine with me,but this discussion is over because you CAN NOT prove anything.
I was disapointed but now I understand why a "witchdoctor"or blind faither will almost never have an open discussion about their religion.Thats what also makes them such nasty people
